The Individualised programme of study
An individual programme of study is devised to meet the needs
of your child using the tried and proven Kip McGrath method of tutoring. At Kip McGrath we use audio, computer, graded worksheets and textbooks all specifically designed to teach,
revise and extend.

Lesson Duration

Lessons at the centre are 80 minutes long. The children attend
for one lesson a week. Some children attend more often,
according to their needs. Even young children attend for 80 minutes. The lessons are broken up into 6 activities to keep
them focused and interested.

Lesson Times

Lessons can be arranged to suit you and your child's activities. However, as some children have too many commitments, we may suggest that an activity has to go to give time for tutoring.
This will be in your child's best interests.

Homework

Homework is an essential part of the programme, particularly in reading. The homework will take about half an hour to do each week. The centre owner is aware of each student's school
workload. If you have difficulty getting your child to do the homework, please contact your centre owner. Homework is
given every week, except for the Christmas and Summer school holidays.

How long will my child need tutoring?

Every child is different and every problem is different. Your
centre owner will give you that information at the free
assessment. After six months a more accurate timescale can
be given. Please discuss this with your centre owner after your
child has been at the centre for six months.
